How to play Sumplete
- Each row has a target on the right; each column has a target underneath.
- Tap a number to delete it. Deleted numbers don't count towards the sums.
- Tap again to keep it (a green circle), or a third time to clear it.
- When every row and column matches its target, you win. Targets turn green as you get them right.
Sumplete strategy
- Start with the line that's furthest off. If a row adds up to 30 but needs 12, you must delete 18 worth of numbers.
- Look for numbers bigger than the target. In puzzles without negatives, any number larger than its row or column target must be deleted.
- Use the small numbers under each target: they show the current sum, so you can see how far each line is from done.
- Check rows and columns together. Deleting a number fixes one line but changes another.

Frequently asked questions
What is Sumplete?
Sumplete is a number puzzle. Each row and column has a target sum. Delete numbers from the grid until every row and every column adds up to its target.
How do I mark numbers in Sumplete?
Tap a number once to delete it (crossed out), tap again to circle it as kept, and tap a third time to clear it. Circling is optional but helps you keep track.
Is there always a solution?
Yes. Every puzzle is built from a real solution, so it can always be solved. Some puzzles have more than one answer, and any answer where every line adds up counts.
Is there a daily Sumplete?
Yes. A new daily Sumplete appears every day, the same for everyone, and solving it grows your daily streak.
What makes hard Sumplete puzzles harder?
Hard puzzles use a bigger 6×6 grid and include negative numbers, so deleting a number can make a sum go up.
