How to play Zip
- Press on the 1 and drag to draw your line.
- Move up, down, left or right, one square at a time. You can't go diagonally or cross your own line.
- Pass through the numbers in order: 1, then 2, then 3, and so on.
- Fill every square and finish on the highest number to win.
Zip game unlimited
Many people play Zip once a day and then want more. Here you get a fresh Daily Zip every day, plus unlimited practice puzzles:
- Easy: 5×5 grid, no walls.
- Medium: 6×6 grid with a few walls.
- Hard: 7×7 grid with more walls and fewer numbers to guide you.
Zip puzzle strategy
- Hug the edges. Squares on the border and in corners are the easiest to leave stranded.
- Don't make islands. If your line cuts off a pocket of squares, you won't be able to fill it.
- Plan to the next number. Count how many squares you need to cover before reaching it.
- Use walls as guides. A square boxed in by walls often has only one way in and out.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Zip game?
Zip is a path puzzle. Draw a single line that starts at 1, passes through the numbered dots in order, and fills every square of the grid exactly once.
Is this the LinkedIn Zip game?
This is our own version of the Zip-style path puzzle, inspired by the daily puzzle many people play on LinkedIn. It is not made by or affiliated with LinkedIn. The difference: you can play unlimited puzzles here, not just one a day.
Can I play Zip unlimited?
Yes. Pick Easy, Medium or Hard for as many Zip puzzles as you like, or play the Daily Zip that is the same for everyone.
What are the walls?
Thick white bars between squares are walls. Your line can't cross them, which makes Medium and Hard puzzles trickier.
How do I undo a move?
Drag your line backwards to erase it, tap an earlier point on the line to cut it back to there, or press Undo.
Tips for solving Zip puzzles?
Fill corners and edges early, since they are easy to strand. Avoid cutting the grid into separate pockets your line can't reach, and look for squares that only have one way in or out.
